Finding Aids for Manuscripts at Individual Repositories

The finding aids are arranged alphabetically by repository title and broadly describe the entirety of Whitman holdings in each of the repositories below, though only documents that could be regarded as poetry manuscripts are routinely described at the item-level. These descriptions and their association to a specific Whitman work, based whenever possible, on the final printing of Whitman's writings in Leaves of Grass (1891-1892) or Complete Prose Works (1892), is available through the Integrated Guide To Walt Whitman's Poetry Manuscripts.
