The Commonplace I sing;How cheap is health! how cheap nobility!
Abstinense, not falsehood, gluttony, lust;
The open air, freedom, work ^ toils , toleration,
(Learn here the mainest lesson, America—
less from books—less from the schools,)
The day and night—the immortal earth
